Except Allen and Bozak are both good players who could get limited returns in separate deals. I don’t really think they’re signing Pietrangelo anyways, so it’s better to keep these guys.

Well I think they do look to move both players but I can't see them giving a 1st to get them gone.

Seconding what others have said, I think there are teams who can use a defensive center with some offensive upside for one year and a goaltender with something to prove for one year for us to not have to pay to get rid of them, especially not a 1st. I don't think we get much of a return for them, but the real return would be the ability to keep Pietrangelo.

No, sorry. We don't want Helm, you're not getting our 2020 1st and Bozak will never agree to go to Detroit. I know everyone thinks they can just put Army over a barrel and fleece the Blues, but you're all sorely mistaken.

Highly doubt the Blues will have to give up anything to move either Bozak or Allen as both have value for the roles they play and actually they're both the perfect "stopgap" acquisitions for teams needing short term help at 2/3C or backup goalie while a prospect develops/grows into the position, they'd both be good pickups for Detroit to be honest though Bozaks trade protection likely gets in the way from him going there.

If the Blues did have to throw in a sweetener to move either Bozak or Allen it'd be like a 4th round pick, a 3rd at the very most but I don't think it'd take even that much, like I and others have said both guys still have value.

And? Fabbri had major trouble cracking our top 6 (he's not really useful otherwise), needed a fresh start, didn't really fit Berube's style and Army did him a favor. Plus, De La Rose has been quite good in his depth role for the Blues.

Yeah man, crazy how Detroit got Robby Fabbri and suddenly became good.
