Columbus isn’t trading Jones. If we did a Jones for Marner trade Savard would walk as a UFA next season, leaving Peeke as our top RHD. He won’t be a top pair defenseman, 2rd pair yes, not 1st pair. This would put Columbus in a worse situation then Toronto is in now in terms of roster. With a worse forward core and bad d core.
