No way Batherson doesn't make the team full time, and I'd rather Norris or Brown as 3C than Chlappie. Love Chlapik, but he's a 4th liner. I wouldn't have Hawryluk in the lineup, and I'd rather give a younger guy like Balcers 3rd line minutes than Steen.

More common (and more realistic) Smith trade dumps are like: 3rd and 7th and Smith for a 5th

I dont get the Steen trade, and you didnt explain it at all

Also, not chance of CBO Ryan.

Stall, Smith and Lundqvist contracts total roughly $18Mil.
Current roles on the team respectively: Bottom pairing Defenceman, AHL defenceman, 3rd string goalie.

How are you getting rid of these contracts without giving up picks?

Steen trade was to get over cap floor.

If they didn't CBO Ryan when given the opportunity, they'd look more dumb than they already are. That's currently very hard to do.
