I feel like Barzal has to make that team. I don't know if Lafreniere would be ready at 20, but perhaps. Hamilton over Ekblad. I also think Bergeron makes it, if not only for his leadership.
But this looks pretty good!

Until Barzal shows he can replicate that fantastic rookie season, he's not in that conversation. As it stands, he's not better than anyone on that team, and I don't think he beats out a few guys who aren't on here.

That's fair, but I think playing under Trotz's system has made him sacrifice points. If he was a 1C on a run and gun style team, I think you see his points go way up. His skating is not too far off from McDavid/MacKinnon.

Barzal stinks. He relies heavily on Lee.

You don't stink and lead the league with possession in the ozone over players like Eichel and Mcdavid. He also draws penalties like Craaazy.
