I dont think that's enough tbh. Landeskog's value is bigger than what you see on the scoresheets

Just like Gallagher! But it seem that expert around here have decided that this was enough for those kind of players.

But why would Colorado trade a 25+ goal, 60+ point guy in exchange for futures given the position they're in?

For the same reason Montreal would trade Gallagher.

I get what you're saying but those aren't really comparable situations at all.

Don’t see any difference here! Montreal are closer to a playoff spot then people think. We have a lot of very good prospect coming up and some very good young players just like the rangers Montreal are more likely to compete next season

The topic of why the Av's would sell off Landeskog compared to why the Habs would sell Gallagher revolves around the teams current state. Three years ago has nothing to do with this.

It have everything to do. Montreal have no reason to sell player since they will rise to the top in the next few season. Just like Colorado rise from the Bottom to the top three years ago

You said that MTL wouldn't sell Gallagher for the SAME reason that Colorado would not sell Landeskog. Two entirely different situations/reasons. It would actually make a fair amount of sense for MTL to sell some of their UFA's

Yes maybe Tatar or Petry but not Gallagher. Gallagher is bringing lot more then point to the game is level of compete and is leadership are way beyond the elite level. He is not the fastest, or the biggest netheir the more talented but their no other olayer in that league that work harder each shift then this guy’s. He is always in the traffic, deflecting puck, pissing of some goalie and defenders and he is amazing a 5 on 5 being really responsible both end.

Landeskog has 4 seasons that are better than Gallagher's best season. It's the difference between a 1st and 2nd line winger. Montreal would have to add. On top of that Landeskog never talked to the media about his future in a way that Gallagher did recently.

So you know what he said about Montreal and that he want to stay there. Also said that he like the direction the team is heading with all the young players that came in the last 3 seasons. He said that he wanted to win but that he believed that it will also be with Montreal that this will happen. That was exactly the comment that he made, so now if some people want to believe that he ask for a trade they can continu living in imaginary land.
