BUF TB accept IMO

If you honestly looking at moving Hertl to Buffalo it's for nothing less than their 2020 1st

Cozens is probably worth about the same as their 2020 1st, maybe a little more. I gave them slightly more, but not much.

I did this so we can still contend. Cozens is a year ahead of whoever Buffalo's pick will be used on just given Cozens is a year older. Cozens probably has slightly more value, but we probably could still get Thompson.

I personally think this is a very solid team that could contend for the cup.

Great top 9, especially given Namestnikov and Labanc are on the 3rd line.
Defense is virtually the exact same, with the exception of Rutta who can play anywhere in the lineup.
Goaltending is improved, just given Khudobin>Jones and we still have Dell.

I pass on this every day. We arent adding to Hertl to hope someone can be Hertl

Why would Buffalo give up their best prospect just to get older?

This could immediately take Buffalo into contention. Hertl is great at faceoffs and is on a great contract. Great locker room guy too.

I see your point, but we need a better prospect pool. Cozens will be on an ELC for a few years and is a lot younger than Hertl.
