Reportedly Pietrangelo wants between $9 to $9.5 million per over 7 or 8 years to remain in St Louis, Zero chance of him coming home to Toronto for less. And it was already reported that he has zero desire to play there.

I think it has much more to do with a desire to remain in St. Louis for personal/family reasons over landing elsewhere. That is what I have gathered anyways.

Why would he want to uproot his family and play in a media fishbowl if he doesn't have to? He is already the captain of a cup winning team where he is.

One of the insiders mentioned it? Pietrangelo and his family just bought a house there in St Louis and they love the area. He's their Captain and i'm pretty sure Armstrong will do everything in his power to keep him. And the very last thing Toronto needs is another $9m to $10m per season player on their roster.
