Ottawa is giving up a lot in this... not worth it. And Duclair won't sign for that cheap, unless it's a 1 year contract. And I don't see why Larsson and Chiasson, who was horrible when he was with Ottawa, are worth Balcers and a 2nd.

I honestly was so depressed all of last year 18/19 knowing the Jackets were going to lose Panarin & Bob.
But after seeing Bob sign for the big money that he wanted, and the Panthers actually falling into that trap, and knowing the Jackets will be just fine at goaltending, I feel so much better now.
I just can’t believe it has only been less than a year that put the Panthers in salary cap misery.
The COVID stoppage didn’t help, but they were going to be in cap crunch sooner or later anyway.
And now people are trying to unload him. It will only get worse...only 6 more contract years to go.
