Description
if the ducks draft stutzle and he makes the team. when getzlaf contract expires, he might move to center or maybe him and zegras stay together. many players in the minors should get called up as well throughout the season but its still not looking good despite a bright future. one more lottery pick next year and they should be fine

Ducks arent gonna retain 3 mil for 4 seasons for a late first, Henrique was on pace for 30 goals this season and has all the intangibles you want in a player/leader, brutal trade for the Ducks

yeah i see what you mean, but this is assuming that henrique's numbers begin to decline. i mightve messed up with the salary rentention but other than that i think its a good trade considering the Ducks only have one pick in a very deep draft.

Is there any situation where the Ducks draft in the 3-5 spot and don't take Drysdale? Stutzle is ranked between #2 & #4 in most prospect rankings. He's the only player to come in higher than # 3 by any outlet. He won't be around after 5th overall. However, the Ducks are pretty solid up front with a lot of promising offensive prospects. That RHD slot behind Manson is looking pretty empty.

I think that the earliest Anaheim takes Drysdale is at #5 if not #6. Remember that the Ducks are not only weak at RD but also offensively aw . . . , er, challenged, So Lafreniere - Byfield - Stutzle and probably Raymond are ahead of him. The questions for me are: (1) second: Byfield or Stutzle? (2) fourth: Raymond or Drysdale? (3) sixth: (assuming Drysdale is gone) Holtz or Perfetti?

I'd be surprised if Troy Terry got half that.

Well when you bury a decent rd and play an AHLer on the top 4 it looks even worse.

What do you mean one pick? they have 3 top 36 picks at the moment

Agree with what OldNYIFan says here The Highest I would be ok taking Drysdale is 4 (ok does not mean happy) The highest I would want to take him is 5 (assuming Laf-Byfield-Stutzle-Raymond are the first 4 off the board) though you could argue taking one of Holtz/Rossi imo Ducks are one of the most offensively challenged teams in the league, yes we have guys like Zegras, Comtois, Lundestrom and Tracey as prospects but Getzlaf, Henrique, Silfverberg and Rakell arent getting younger so adding a top line forward and in this case the best available player would be the correct route to go

Interesting deal to the Blues. Henrique is a good player at at under 3 mil, that’s a great deal, but with the ED next summer, he would make us expose someone like Kyrou/Sundqvist/Perron. Otherwise we’d just be giving up a 1st for a one year rental and giving him to Seattle who’s be more than happy to take him.
