I dont think its enough for Puljujarvi tho, maybe switch the 3rd for a 2nd round pick and replace weal by a B- prospect like ylonen. Even tho i would love to see Weal getting the f*** outta montreal

??? A 1st, a kid that led the AHL last year, and a steal of a pick just last year. That's an absolute steal for CAN.

Nah the 1st will be a late in 2021, the kid might never play in the NHL, Elvenes is a decent prospect and Dorofeyev is a former 3rd pick. Anyway MTL will extend Petry, I think Carolina offer was better Jake Bean + 1st vs Petry

If you think Poolparty is worth that much you’re crazy. There’s no way someone like Ylonen is included in that trade. With all the picks we have I think Poolparty might be worth the gamble but I’m not giving away any prospects to get him. Late 2nd a 4th and whatever prospect they want out of McShane, Houde or Fonstaf

Petry is real good but he's 32. It would be idiotic to get wrapped up in his next contract unless he's really nice about it, which is doubtful. Yeah that CAR offer is good but so is the VGK. Real good.

The thing with Petry is he isn’t declining and one of the most fluide defenseman in the league, I’m not scare of him declining. I would extend him to a 3-4 years deal the 1st of July, now the money, will he gets 4-5M or 7M, I don’t know

If you can get $4M-$5M then that makes sense. But I bet it's closer to $7M.

If there is a flat cap, Petry will quickly become one of the most valuable defenceman in the league for contenders. MTL has the space to retain 50% and teams would be getting him for under 3 million bucks
