Montreal have over 18 millions in free cap space for next season and only Domi who is a notable Rfa that trade make absolutely no sense. They can keep Alzner contract and chase the best Free agend still would be under the cap.

What is that Domi trade? Why would we pretty much give Domi up for nothing when we have tons of cap space and could buy out Alzner if we had too?

In addition to 0% chance Habs doing that deal:
the Sal Cap will probably be flat due to league (and team) lost revenues, and Cirelli would definitely get matched at $6M.

Lowry would be interesting in Boston. Not sure where he slots in, but brings an element that Boston likes out of its bottom 6.

McDavid for a 6th should work too. Domi + Alzner for a 3rd? Alzner’s cap is not really making any issues for us. We have buried in the AHL at 3.25 and then we could buy him out next summer at a 2.2 cap hit for 2 years. No big deal. I would do Domi for Hertl/Meier. Don’t think trading for Domi is going to for a package. Domi is moving in a 1 for 1 deal, if at all.
