Jets could use some offense on the blue line and DeMelo won’t provide that.

Perhaps, but I figure that if they can afford it, Winnipeg wouldn't mind having a 50-65 point 1RD. They're somewhat shallow on the back end and considering DeMelo is probably worth half of that for 1/5th the production, they probably wouldn't mind letting him go. I could be wrong, but that's my stance.

While Burns is underrated on this site, Jets already have Morrissey and Pionk for the offense from the backend and Heinola isn't far away.

DeMelo is an excellent defensive dman. He wouldn’t be expected to provide a burns level offensive output.

I hate the Kellman trade, I thought he showed a little promise last year.
Burns trade I would rather hold onto burns than give him up for that little. I feel like we have 2-3 years of good play left and we can’t replicate that for 6 mil a season or less unless you get a kid

That is true. I think that they still lack some high end offense, but If I were the Jets, I would probably stock up on more defensively responsible players since their defense was so bad last year.

Yeah sorry I thought he was great last year too, but I wanted to move a bottom 6 player out. Too many 4th line candidates to juggle. May as well trade him somewhere where he doesn't have to jockey for ice time.

Probably should have added a young B or C tier prospect in hindsight.

You could also replace Kellman with Bergmann or Suomela.

Suomela is not getting tendered but yea I’d off Bergmann over kellman though we’re not getting more than a 6th for him

That's fair. Can't really disagree. Why wouldn't Sumo get tendered though?

Labanc plays both sides. He played some left in junior.

SJ is and has been super short on RW which is why I doubt they move Labanc. He only played the right side on a team full of lefties.
