Problem here is that Faulk plays his best hockey when he has a lot of offensive opportunities and he won't get that in STL. Move on from that, tho buying out a guy you just extended is a bit... Melnyk like lol

    Dunn may get an OS.

I'd max him on the 2nd at 4.2m if I was another team

I think the best bet is to trade Bozak and Gunnarsson and then hope you can pull some ltir or retirement bs with Steen and then I think that would be enough to get Dunn at 2.65 and Pietrangelo at 9.25. Dunn doesn’t really have leverage given his minutes and points, but an offersheet would really throw a wrench in the plans.

Why not just pay someone a draft pick to take Jake Allen?

Allen has some decent value after this year. Top 5 league-wide in both GAA and SV%. We'd probably ask for a B prospect or a 2nd-3rd rounder. Very reminiscent of the Brian Elliot situation of a few years back.

A much better option than keeping him and letting Petro walk.

Probably not, we have solid goalie prospects and Husso seems ready to take the backup spot.
