Winnipeg, a small market team would not swap Perreault (1 year left @ 4.125) for Parise (5 years left @ 7.5) simply to resign Perreault for 2 million less per year...

U still have to pay Parise....not the full amount but most of it (the CBO is only for cap relief not actual money)

What Jetman said...yes it provides cap relief but you still owe him whatever the buyout amount is (I beleive it is 2/3's of the original.)

THat would be option A. People are crapping on the jets targeting TJ, but I think it's an upgrade and not too expensive.

Not sure how much actual money Parise is still owed but his cap hit is $7.54M for another 5 seasons so his CBO would surely be way more then Perreault's, there's zero chance Chipman is paying that.
