I don’t think it’s crazy to say Matthews is better than Draisaitl. I disagree, but it’s a reasonable stance. Then once contracts start coming into the conversation, there is no reasonable stance that involves Matthews having more value than draisaitl.

Most his RAPM and isolated impact is very rough, same with McDavid. I do think some of his terrible defensive play is coaching impact but even then hes still not good. The Oilers have no one else besides McDavid, Drai and Nuge so they seem to be told to just score because no one else can

Larsson isnt very good. He isnt able to contribute anything offensively, hes bad in transition (both ways) and doesnt provided much defensively besides netfront and board battles. Both are 3rd pairing defensemen. At the very least they are equal players but dermott is younger and makes less.
