You kind of suggested it. You said the Kings shouldn't trade any right d's, which means one has to play left side or 3rd pairing.

Did the Kings acquire another RHD without me knowing? Doughty/Walker/Roy. Who else is there?

There are worse problems to have than having a defenseman that is overqualified for his spot. For example, having no one qualified for the spot, which is what would happen if one of Walker or Roy were traded.

That is all yes. But I don’t see why they should play one 3rd pairing. Makes more sense to put one top pairing left d or trade them.

Walker played a while on Doughty's left last season and it didn't really work out. I don't think they like Roy on the right side.

I'd be perfectly fine with trading one of them, but not for a LHD. The Kings biggest gap is at top six wing. If they're going to trade one of those two guys, it's going to be for an improvement in that area, or for expansion draft exempt futures.

Ok that is fair. Maybe a deal like Walker plus for Kapanen would be better.

I think something like that could be worked out, but I don't think the Kings would be willing to put much in the "plus" column. It would more likely be Roy for Kapanen with the "plus" being $2.5M in cap relief for the Leafs next season.

It's all academic at this point, because I don't think the Kings are interested in trading either of Roy or Walker this year.

BAHAHAHAHA!!! LA has good defensive depth? N O W A Y. Toronto's is better I think.

DEFENSIVE. If you think Toronto has D depth you are high maybe Offensive Defenseman depth but I mean they are sh*t on Defense.

Didn’t say Toronto’s d depth was good. Said it was better than LAs.

Bud, Right Hand Defenseman LA is better. Walker and Doughty then it's Roy.

Toronto has Barrie who has been playing terrible as the first pairing, F'kin Ceci as the second and Holl as your third Right Hand Defenseman. You tell me would you rather have too many LHD (considering Sandin and Liljegren aren't even on the main roster pairings yet) or would you rather keep Dermott because you couldn't agree to not pinch pennies.

Fully agree there right d is better. Our is bad, bad, bad. As an FYI, Holl is second pairing. In the playoffs, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Ceci as a healthy scratch. To be honest, the only hole we have to fill is the top pairing one.
