Description
Here’s the thing, once palat’s contract is up, most of his cap hit is going to pointer’s extension. We need to flip gourde to somebody in the next offseason because our bottom 6 all need new contracts and we kind of toast.

If the core is point, stamkos, McDonagh, Hedman, kucherov, vasilevsky, sergachev and Cirelli there’s going to be a lot of plug in contracts and players on their elc every year. Once Sergy’s done his bridge deal I’m not sure how we sign him but hopefully the cap goes up in the next couple seasons or they start throwing us a couple cbos.

If McDonagh isn’t part of the core we have to move him while he’s still got value but we need him to win a cup so I’d keep him till we win one then move him (hopefully win a couple)

I think Cirelli is an elite 3C and a really good 2C. If we start paying 2Cs like 1Cs we are toast so I don’t think he’s worth 6 or 7 mil and if he demands it then we trade him and then use that cap to sign Sergy long term. Don’t want to sign cernak long term yet.

I dont think sergachev will sign for less than 4.5/5

I like your trade for Killorn. I think it makes a lot of sense for both teams.

Fat chance Sergachev signs that cheaply, And from what's being reported Tyler Johnson doesn't want to play in Canada. So he's not waiving for Calgary. And noway Cernak gets almost as much as Sergachev.

Avs say no. We don't need to trade a 1st round pick for Killorn as there will be plenty of better deals to be had this offseason. 2nd + 3rd is what I'd offer. Or Jost straight up.

I doubt Johnson waives to go anywhere, since he’s currently on a very successful team with a warm climate and the best tax situation in the league.

Exactly, He might be a expansion draft casualty next summer and go home to Washington State. But he's definitely going nowhere this year.
