LASTLY: IFFFF people argue, just say you would switch out Beecher for Studnicka and that should 100% do it

Damn. Beat me to it. Krejci just doesn't have much value to Buffalo if they get rid of Eichel but...they'd flip him at the deadline for a haul so I could see this working to a point. Maybe another piece though as I could see this getting outbid and Buffalo has no need to satisfy Eichel in any trade. Still, as the rare Sabres/Bruins fan, I think this deal on both ends.

Small technicality Beecher will sign but after the college season if their is one. Still can trade his rights. Bottom pairing might be a bit shaky. Vaakanainen did not have the greatest of seasons in Providence.

PS. Oh damn just noticed Haggs wrote the article.

Fat chance in hell Buffalo makes that trade one year of an aging David Krejci The rest is meh at best. Total garbage for an elite 1C like Eichel.

Exactly. Its about how you think about it.

Sabres can trade to a rebuilding team and get a big piece out of it, or they can trade to a contnder who isnt gonna give up a huge piece.
This trade is the perfect middle. Getting a bunch of solid young pieces, and a really good piece in krejci that they can flip (to a team that we would waive for)

I think there are probably better offers, but i dont think its far off. I think anytime you trade a superstar you're not really gonna get fair value. If the situation actually gets into trade talks BUF will be trading from a position of weakness. Personally i dont think itll get to that point, but who knows. On the Bruins side, i can see BUF asking for Debrusk/Carlo rather than Krejci (although the "flipping" strategy could work), that may be a tough pill for Management and fans to swallow, but Krejci probably doesnt waive there, and for a rebuilding a team an older player with 1 year left doesnt make much sense. All in all, another team may be willing to fork over a top prospect/higher picks that the bruins dont have, think the value is fairly close, but its just a really difficult trade to forecast!
