stepan and demers are not cap dumps... they are still effective players, just simply overpaid.

If the Yotes retained 1.5M on Stepan, I could see a team paying for him, and Demers as it is could probably get a pick back.

Do you know how hockey works? This isn't fantasy league. You don't give up players and picks just to get rid of cap space with nothing of value.

They need to shed about $10M in cap. Most of their guys have NTC's so it might be difficult to form a deal, but guys like Gourde, Johnson, Killorn and Palat are all in the mix.

jim b will not give up a first round pick to loose louis contract.we got jt miller for a first.it would like giving away jt miller think about it. not happening bad asset management.

St Louis has zero cap space and a marquee free agent to sign... nobody is going to take Steen without a massive sweetener as everyone can see the pressure and nobody else benefits from St. Louis keeping Pietrangelo.

I agree but what if VAN can't afford to extend Pettersson and Hughes?
