Description
DISCLAIMER it wouldn’t be a sign and trade they would trade krugs rights I wasn’t sure how to do it

This is a trade I saw on twitter and in the comments everyone said it’s not enough they scoffed at the trade like it was a ROR type crap deal. I think it’s more than enough maybe too much. Bcarlo25 hope I got contracts right this time.

I personally would have to think about this. I’m would lean towards doing this as eichel is a number 1 center for years to come Krejci Rask chara all come off the books. Bergy has a few years left in him. Still have young guys in the system like KASE ritchie Fredrick coyle pasta kuhlman lauko Hughes. Eichel and coyle becomes your 1-2 punch of the next wave mcavoy and Carlo are your next 1-2 D of the next wave. Only give up one pick. I would have to think long and hard about doing it

Bruins and Sabres reject.

Sabres would just sign Krug themselves if they want him

Bruins wouldnt sign him just to trade him

I wasn’t sure how to trade the rights. They wouldn’t sign him they would trade him rights away.

Because of Krug everybody knows that Krug and Debrusk won't leave Boston because Boston wants them there. Also why would we trade a 1st Round and then a prospect that hasn't gotten a chance to prove himself in Boston.

Krug adds nothing to this as he's a UFA and Boston wouldn't sign him just to trade him (it would look bad).

Debrusk - nice piece, one of the better goal scoring wingers over the last 3 years

Studnicka - solid prospect with #2C upside, #3C at worst

Beecher - Bit of a wildcard, but probably a middle-6 guy if he hits his potential

Its not terrible, there's some good pieces there, but not enough to get Buffalo to pull the trigger. Now if Beecher was someone like Carlo then I think you have Buffalo's attention, but I'm still not sure if they do and I don't think I'd want to move Carlo.

Because he thinks Paul Statsny is a good return for Eichel

Because eichel is 23 and on a good 10 mil deal until 2026 and a proven star. And a #1 center proven to play center in this league from a young age. I’ll take a 23 year old proven #1 center over a 29 year old dman and a spotty 23 year old winger. Yes giving up studnicka hurts but eichel being 23 makes up for it I think. The next 6 years you have eichel and pasta together.

to answer “why would we trade...”, you would trade that so you can get an absolutely elite player.

Bs keep Krug then include Grzelcyk in the offer.

Its the best offer i’ve see yet with just one change.

The Sabres would probably think they can get a better offer.

Buffalo declines, Those pieces don't get you Eichel. Krug is a UFA and fat chance of him having any desire to play in Buffalo.

His rights really aren't worth much unless he's signing an 8yr deal. Even then it's probably worth a mid/late round pick.

And yeah, BUF won't trade him

Half guys have bottom-6/top6 D potential so there's no guarantee. And a team isn't only about young players

You were just very concerned about the future a second ago. And I mean they still have bergy Marchand Krejci chara kuraly Wagner Rask.
