Why would you decimate your D corps for a 3rd line winger?

Maybe do this in a years time when you know that Mitchell can play top 4 in the NHL

That's the gamble for sure but hawks need another top 9 winger with speed

Plenty of options in FA but not for a low cost Murphy

I'm a big fan of Kapanen & don't understand all the eagerness to deal him - he has true breakaway speed, kills penalties, and got into a fight or two in the later part of the season (he may not have won them, but he put in respectable performances) - BUT, if the Hawks offered Connor Murphy for him, I'd do that swap in a heartbeat!

Mitchell is more ready coming in than Boqvist was
