Has this been said anywhere recently? I remember it being mentioned in season that it was more serious than initially thought, but I thought Dorion said he was doing well.

I really hope he's able to play, but he should obviously do what's best for his long term health.

I might look at Jake Allen. He has consistency issues, but he was lights out this season, and can likely be had for the cheap.

yeah im hoping the Sens roll 3 forwards. Byfield/Stutzle, Raymond and Jarvis/Mercer/Quinn this year. Then go for Brandt Clarke or Owen Power next year

So you dont want us to draft Byfield or Rossi? Stutzle will also be a beast with his speed and hands. I really dont know which Leaf will be able to contain him. Ottawa has risen.

I could see that. There's the potential to add a full 1st line in the 1st round. Then go for a bunch of Dmen in the 2nd round.

Though if Peterka falls to 33, It would be hard to pass on. He's a guy I think will have a very long career.

i love Peterka. I mean theres no way Dorion drafts all his picks right? He has to at least move some guys in a quantity trade, we have no room.

Id rather the sens draft Stutzle over both, but for different reasons.
Over byfield because byfield is better and a legit 1c is the one missing piece from the sens future.
Over Rossi, because he's awful to play against and i dont want another tkachuk or marchand to play my team all the time even if Stutzle is better.

Could u imagine facing a Sens team with Rossi and Stutzle or Byfield and Drysdale?

I think so. They will almost certainly make some kind of trade. I'm sure he has his eyes on a few potential trade options.

You also forgot Tkachuk, Chabot, Batherson, Norris, JBD, Formenton and Thomson. As well as a guy like Mercer/Jarvis/Holloway in the draft as well.

Chabot, sure. Not too worried about the other guys. Not that they are bad, just not worry level. It is a shame Ottawa drafts so well though .
You also forgot pinto. People are always sleeping on him

yes Pinto will be really good. I think Tkachuk with a top centre could be a 60-70 pt and a playoff monster.
Im hoping Ottawa uses some ammo to move up to 10 with the Isles pick that could be 13-15 if they lose the play in. Can u imagine Stutzle, Raymond and Lundell with their top 3 picks.
This team is really deep:

Tkachuk-Lundell-Raymond
Stutzle-Brown-Batherson
Formenton-Norris-White
Balcers-Tierney-C. Brown

I think this would be a coaches worst nightmare. Top 3 Cs have never taken a faceoff in AHL let alone OHL. 1 vet D, 4 rookies - one jumping from college to NHL. Its possible to happen and go well. But if it doesn’t, it could kill the teams culture. Oh and 2 unproven rookies. This is a team built to fail! (reminds me of the movie Major League).

Rossi is really strong but may end up on the wing (if Marner is a good model) in the show. He’d be an ideal set up man for a scoring C.

Why sign brown for $4M and play him on the 4th line? Why sign Tierney for $3.5M and do the same?
