Is this a joke? Gaudreau is the best forward on the Flames roster and Nuge is a solid 2nd line center.

I just don’t see a reason for Edmonton to trade RNH since he very likely re-signs with the team. I do think Gudreau Is clearly the better player so I also don’t see what’s in it for Calgary. Plus when each players contract is up, Both are more likely to walk, so I feel like both teams end up losing term.

The other concern I have for Edmonton is that means we will have two of the league’s smallest players on each of our top two lines. What happens in the playoffs when the refs put the whistles away and all of a sudden neither of these players can move around the ice?

I think Nuge has demonstrated that he’s a first line winger or second line center. He’s still not better than Gudreau and CGY would be crazy to make this trade unless they develop a huge 2C need for some reason

I wouldn’t from Edmonton side. Nuge is more well round player smarter defensively.

Yea, he isn't the best forward on the Flames roster. I'd probably rank him 3rd behind Thachuk and Monahan getting extra value since he is #1C. Just like Nuge is 3rd best on Oilers
