Where do these free agent forwards land and for what term

Description
Today would normally be the first day of free agency so I was thinking about where some of these UFA's might land, not a lot of teams with cap space as it is and now with Covid and a flat cap I'm thinking some of these guys are looking at paycuts, trading a lower AAV for term or short prove it deals with the hopes of the cap going up but after reading Friedman's 31 Thoughts it seems like the cap is going to stay mostly flat for the next 2-3 years so prove it deals might not be in these players best interest.

Yeah I know these guys are mostly 3rd and 4th line players but we spend a lot of time debating what's going to happen with Pietrangelo and Hall I thought it might be worth debating something else idk.. Lol
Still some decent players here in the right roles but maybe some are done and Europe bound, wonder what others think about potential homes for these guys.
I really wonder where Granlund will land, think he'll rebound if he gets out of Nashville.

All opinions are welcome, Happy Canada Day!

Crazy. In 2-3 years it was predicted that we would be over 91.5m. frown

DO you think they let Virtanen walk?

Not necessarily. I don't think Lievo costs too much. Toffoli will get a raise, but not a massive one. They probably lose Tanev, and I think they can move a guy like Baertschi relatively painlessly. There's the opportunity to keep all three.

Better question, who on this list will be taking a pay cut ?

Galchenyuk, Soderberg, Smith and maybe Folik.

I could see one or two of Hoffman, Granlund, Smith, and Galchenyuk ending up in NSH

If the Sabres could keep Larsson plus add Haula and Granlund they'd be in pretty good shape for next season.

How much cap space will the Preds have after they sign any RFA'S they have, aren't they close to tapped out for cap space?

Idk about Smith, think he might stay at about the same rate but those other three are for sure looking at paycuts imo.

If need be they can trade Bonino or try to trade Johansen/Turris. There is some money to be moved around - some easier than others. They can get sign one for sure, but some maneuvering would be needed for more.

Yeah it looks like the Preds are going to need at least one top 6 winger, I'm really wondering what's gonna happen with Granlund.

I would love dandenov in San Jose but I think Name Vlad is the ideal player for the sharks this offseason

I'm assuming you mean Namestnikov?.. Lol

I think Namestnikov would be a solid add for a lot of teams, can't believe he was traded for a 4th twice this season and Ottawa and Colorado of all teams were the ones that acquired him, Buffalo really should of traded for him instead of that useless Vesey.

Namestnikov is my surprise land on the penguins for dirt cheap. He really needs 1 or 2 years somewhere in a good situation. Next to Crosby and across from Jake is probably as good as any he finds in the league. If he stands out his next pay day will be huge. As it is now, he's no't gonna make a ton. So he should be on himself.
