Ok Boomer, first off, since when has a team ever paid more than one 1st to get rid of a contract and second, you must not know anything about Stetcher or the Stars...

Can tell both of you for a fact that the Stars have 0 interest of taking on Loui Eriksson no matter the price. They got their own cap problems while being a cup contender with their window closing year by year. Only way they take him is with a huge roster piece coming back which we both know isn’t happening

The arguement is more on if the Stars did take LE contract that the compensation shown would not be enough. Stetcher is a solid 2RD that Dallas needs. The value is fine, however, I'm with you. Dallas can't take on that contract regardless of what is provided.

Every time I did an ACGM that required these signings I had Highes at 7M and Petey an 9M, never got hate.
Matthew's gets 3 60/70 point seasons and he's automatically worth 11.6M just because there GM is bad at asset management. Petey can definitely shoot for that comparison, hopefully he doesnt lol

Pettersson could reasonably ask for 11M for 8 years. It would be pretty much the same as Eichel's deal in terms of cap hit percentage and Pettersson's first two seasons have been slightly stronger than Eichel's.

Obviously you hope he takes a discount, but you can't rely on it. You should still plan to potentially use up 11M in cap space to get him signed. If he signs for less then its just its the extra cap space is just a bonus.

He can go pound sand for 11M. He is not worth 11M. Players want more than what they are worth and the league needs more hard ass GMs. That isnt reasonable...

Unless he puts up 110 points and wins the Hart he won't ask for 11mil

I've outlined the comparison before but Pettersson's PPG after his first two seasons is slightly higher than EIchel's first two years. In addition he's also been slightly healthier. If he signed for the same cap hit percentage it would be at around 10.8M. It's not unreasonable for him to ask for 11M and he deserves it.
