I'd switch signing Clifford for Robertson. That left side is weak.

I don't think he can. Either OHL, NHL or Europe. Stupid agreement between the NHL and the CHL

He's only going to be 19 next season, can't be in the AHL. The likeliest option is he competes for a job in camp.

Hyman and Mikheyev are good top 6 guys and Engval is okay for 3LW, certainly could be a lot worse.

I really don't get why so many Leaf fans want to commit money to an FA defenceman. What are you going to do when Sandin and Liljegren take steps forward and push those guys out?

There's some small issues. I don't think ifford comes back for that cheap. I like Kerfoot, and would like to keep him. And I don't think you can nab DeMelo AND Hamonic.

But I think the premise is good. Sell off a 3rd liner and Dermot, grab a UFA defenceman. I like it based on that premise.

Mikheyev has 1/2 a season as a top 6 guy with a high sh%. Let's wait on crowning him as a permanent top 6 fixture.

Yeah let's just do the usual and say everyone sucks and will never get better so we need to trade young guys for old guys

Or just play him for a full year in the middle six.

He's ready for the NHL. In a 3rd line role he should do just fine.

I don't get how anyone can say LW is weak. They are one of the deepest teams in the league.
