idk. nylander isn't spectacular, and Jesper is a year younger... essentially the same as what Nylander was last year. I think he could take off here, so it was a positive.
I don't think the downgrade is worth any more than the difference of cap.
Well Nylander just turned 22 in march while Jesper will turn 22 in October, so yeah not a significant difference IMO.
If you want to see the significant difference you would have to look at their advanced stats and point totals.
In 35 games with NJD Boqvist put up a total of 4 points (All goals), had a 46.4 corsi and was a minus 11. He averaged about 11 minutes of TOI per night in NJ,
In just under double the amount of games (65 in total) Nylander put up 26 points, 10 goals and 4 assists, with a corsi of 49.6 and a minus 2. He averaged about 12 minutes a night
A very clear downgrade from Boqvist to Nylander, and while both players probably considered this season a ”Down year”, I think I would Take Nylander 10/10 times.
Moreover, we are not in a position where we would need to downgrade both CDH and Nylander for about 3 million in cap, especially when it seems you haven't done anything meaningful with the cap space to justify the downgrade.
So yeah, its not a close trade. NJD scam CHI.
