Hanafin is Calgary's 2nd best defence man. He was the return for Hamilton. Heinola and Vesaleinen are Winnipegs top prospects. The are former first rounders, and in redrafts the would stay there.

Kempe is a quality two-way forward and one of the best skaters in the league. His top speed doesn't rival someone like McDavid, but his acceleration and edge-work are among the league best. He's solid defensively and can kill penalties. He pretty much single-handedly solved the Kings league-worst power play issues from 2018-19, as they couldn't figure out a way to enter the zone with possession. Kempe is able to skate it in off the drop nearly every time.

The Kings started out with him at 3C, but his faceoffs are terrible (35ish %), and he's not fantastic at distributing the puck to his wingers. They moved him to LW and he has been significantly better.

A lot of Kings fans have begun to expect him to be a top-six contributor, and are disappointed when he doesn't put up big numbers. IMO, if you expect him to be a top-six player, you will be disappointed. He has the chops to be one of the best third-liners in the league, and will also be a staple at special teams on both ends of the ice. He'll be good for 15g/40p each season, with about a third of those points coming on the power play.

Blais is a frustrating, but very talented player. He’s very aggressive and underrated defensively when covering the points and also a very talented puck carrier. He’s dangerous 1-on-1 but isn’t very smart offensively. Despite him being a beast protecting the puck on the cycle, he’s never too dangerous in the o-zone as he shoots a lot from low danger spots and rarely completes dangerous passes. Also wastes his times chasing hits when he could just play the puck. Could be a beast with some coaching, but currently profiles as an above average 4th liner.

A-aron Ekblad is a man with a plan. He skates like McDavid, he hits like Kronwall, he shoots like Dion and he deservingly was drafted 1st OA in 2014. Ekblad is not only known for his hockey skills but is a household name in his hometown of Dublin, Ireland for holding the current world record for the longest period of time Celtic dancing. A-aron is also an advocate against the extermination of rats in Alberta, the place he grew up. Overall he is a magnificent hockey player, a truly good Irishman, and a downright gem of a human being

Manson is an interesting player. He’s got great skill and is a hard worker. But injuries suck him up. He’s the top pairing for Anaheim and works well with Lindholm and Fowler. People say he’s overrated but dude was a stud 2017-2018 and 2018-2019 pre injuries.

ill help with the jets side

Copp is a versatile 2 way player that plays on pk, maybe bit too good for the 3rd line but not good enough for the 2nd line
Vesalainen was a highly touted prospect who had 39 points in 44 games in Liiga after his draft year but struggled the past few years on NA ice.. motivation an also an issue, looking more bust than boom at this point
Heinola was called a "poor mans Heiskanen" at the draft, had big flaws bout his skating so was ranked between 20-30, but really improved it in the off season, made the team out of training camp and got 5 points in 8 NHL games tbc :/

Are you sure he goes 1 overall again in a redraft? I think Drais would go 1 but Nothing against Ekblad. He's a great defence man, and I'd take him on the leafs, jets or flames any day.

Well done, I was hoping vaselainen was a future wheeler replacement, not looking good so far, but wheeler took a while too. Heinola struggled some on his return to Finland, but with the proper patience, I think will be nice fit behind morrissey. Copp does a solid job, probably a lot of 3c in another year, when somebody overpays Lowry

I think Vesa could be top 6 one day. Heinola should be a lock for top 4. He played in the nhl as an 18 year old! And he got 5 points in 8 games! I think he will be vital to winnings defence down the road.
