More then likely Seabrook is done in 1-2 years, Fat chance of getting DeBrincat just to move Seabrooks contract.

There's a good chance you'll be able to grab Raymond or Holtz at 9 to replace him. Clearing out the cap space would allow you to maybe go after someone like Pietrangelo in the offseason to compete for the last few years of Toews/Kane.

If he retires wouldn't Chicago still have a portion of his contract counting against their cap hit?

Not sure the Isles would move Pulock in any circumstance that doesn't bring back a top-line wing. Even with Ladd being taken back

Not with the new CBA. Chicago would pay him his contract but would not count against the cap for 35+ year old players.

Don't love these trades for ottawa but I guess value is fair. Dont like the idea of giving up futures for guys that are ready to win sooner than later
