On the 176 d-men that played more than 615 minutes

expected goals against per 60 minutes: Mete is 12th (1.95), Gost is 113th (2.39)
high danger scoring chances against/60 minutes: Mete is 17th (8.87), Gost is 141th (11.77)

Gost is also an extremely sheltered d-man due to the fact that he's irresponsible with only 18.7% of his ice time against elite competition. Mete is at 29%.

One is 27 and plays like a rookie, the other is 22 and plays like a vet already. I know who I prefer, thank you.

So you use defensive related stats to prove your point. Level the playing field then and add offensive impact. I’ll wait.

on the 176 d-men that played more than 615 minutes

expected goals for per 60 minutes: Mete is 103rd (2.25), Gost is 138th (2.11)
goals for per 60 minutes: Mete is 66th (2.61), Gost is 146th (2.04)

The individual offensive stats are even funnier:

Mete had 2 more 5v5 goals than Gost
Mete had 27 more shot attempts than Gost
Mete had 12 more high danger chances than Gost
His shooting percentage is 7%, Gost is 4.4%

And all that while Gost took 7.5 more offensive zone starts per 60 minutes.

Mete doesn't play powerplay, and Gost is good on the powerplay, so you got that going for you.

Should've traded Gost when you had the chance, looks like you're stuck with him now. A team without anything at D might give a 3rd or a 4th round pick for him. edit: more like a 7th with that contract.

So your using one season? One that Ghost was hurt. Ghost still had one more point in 9 less games played while playing hurt.

You’re just cherry picking stats to suit your narrative and not objectively comparing the 2 players.
