Get TVR outta here, sign a cheaper RD(Rutta), sign Greiss instead of Elliott and add another depth forward like Wilson/Pitlick/Gagner/Nosek

That trade package does Columbus no good whatsoever. We do not need or want random depth Cs, and minor picks do not get our attention w/r/t an Anderson trade. Offer better, or offersheet him.

Sharks were high on TVR out of college. DW is notorious for circling back on guys he previously liked and finding a way to get them eventually (for better or worse).

Re: Greiss/Elliott, there was bad blood between Greiss and the McClellan staff/org during his first stint in SJ re: playing time. Not sure if that is water under the bridge or still a sore subject, but not counting on him to sign in SJ until I hear something linking him to the organization. Think under Boughner's more conservative system that we saw once he took over last season (keeping the rush outside and limiting chances versus Deboer's excuse of the run and gun) that Elliott can rebound playing in a more low event system compared to what he has been in since leaving STL. Jones also played much better under Boughner (.906 save percentage compared to .891 under Deboer) so there is some cautious optimism about getting league average goaltending out of that tandem next season.

Wise and thoughtful I agree but I want Stalock if he is available since he's cheaper but I like this roster. Though I think Anderson makes 3.35 to 3.5 and same with Labanc.
Anderson trade will take a 2nd and a 3rd plus One of our young talented LD kids.

I can't see either of them commanding that sort of salary on a flat cap given the seasons that each had last year. Think both guys take a 1 year deal and see what happens this coming season both in terms of potential recoup of revenues increasing the cap in the coming years. I agree that swapping pieces around for Anderson makes sense. Strictly went about it with the idea of Suomela being someone Jarmo would like/want given the Finnish connection there and the likelihood that he is going to be jettisoned from SJ this offseason because the org is married to Jumbo at 3C until he dies sadly.
