he scores a fair bit of points on the PP, he very much seems like an "empty calorie point producer" meaning his actual offensive numbers are good but he doesn't really drive play in the o-zone at all. your point about another team turning him into a great defenceman, Subban went from a top 4 guy at the least to a replacement level player in 1 year here and it doesn't look like Severson will ever reach his full potential. I don't think NJ is that team you are speaking of lol.

Maybe not. But I think risto problems are in his head and has everything to do with being a bottom feeder his whole career. So a little success and winning would be super beneficial since he such a competitor. I think risto would actually be an incredible playoff guy
