If you’re planning on continuing to rebuild, keep Strome. If you’re looking to try and get to playoffs again next year, I’d go for Rakell.

It depends on how much he asks for, if he asks for more then Rakell makes (Which is more then what strome should make if we are going off of this season). If he does ask for more, Id say this trade wouldnt be bad

It's pretty damn close until you consider the contracts. Strome being a RFA coming off a ELC, the Hawks or Ducks have complete control over his career, meaning he gets signed for another 3 years and is still a RFA. Rakell is a UFA in 2 years. For that reason Strome has more value in a trade.

Hawks say no to this proposal.

2020 #16 pick OA
Strome
Seabs
FOR
Rakell
3rd rounder

That I'd do but Seabs wouldn't waive anyway to a team in a rebuild.

Hawks decline. Strome is more valuable than Rakell. Younger and under RFA control

A recent Seabrook interview I saw had Seabrook talking about how he just wants to play hockey whether he can do that here or somewhere else. I don't remember the exact quote but it was interesting. Make me rethink my stance that Seabrook would never waive. Say Mitchell is as advertised and Seabrook ends up in the presss box, maybe seats would waive. Deal wouldn't happen this off season though. Either mid year once Mitchell has played a but or next off season

Yes, saw the same interview and you make a good point, wouldn't be entertained until next offseason....maybe the TDL

I'm sure he would waive, he's to proud to be a number 7 defenseman. If Dion Phaneuf can get moved, twice, seabrook can get moved once.
