wow, you're not even reading what you're writing any more. I mean a team with too many top 6 wingers would totally have a couple guys who were struggling to break into the top 6. Like, you spelt it out for yourself and still missed your own point!
You also could look at the fact that 2 of those wingers missed significant time due to injuries, or that the leafa 2 beat defenders did the same with broken feet, or that they got goaltending by fog for half the season.
I mean, there's a reason or two why the leafs could be an 81 point team with a couple extra ok 2nd liners, but apparently it's super complicated

im being completely sarcastic. No! the leafs do not have like 7 " top 6 wingers". my point is you think everyone is a "top 6 winger" they arent. you just have this unrealistic idea of players value and where they play in a line up. YOU need to read and comprehend word! 81 points isnt good? idk if you understand that bc you just blah blah blah too much for me. long story short if a team have 9 top 6 forwards they are generally better than the Leafs are this year. i bet KErfoot is a top 6 player also. you are the reason people hate TML fans. you are a walking stereotype its funny

I know you're not talking about AJ being a top 6 winger. He's literally the definition of a cap dump.

Frankly its amazing how the guy who was literally playing well on the 2nd line last season is suddenly a pure cap dump after 15ish bad games and an injury.

I would love to hear your, im sure very detailed, explanation as to why he isn't an ok 2nd liner, which js literally the most hype he's gotten here.
And no, saying he was playing on the 3rd line doesnt count

Because he WASN'T playing well. He plays 86% of the time with Matthews and his production falls off a cliff if he isn't with one of the best players in the NHL. Why he got $3.4M....I have ZERO clue.

So, let me get this straight, over 86% of his career, he was simply not good because of who his linemates are, but 14% of his career with linemates who cant score are who he is for sure?

Wow, great analysis

Thanks. It is a great analysis. The only way he can produce is when other players carry him. $3.4M is $2.4M too much.

It's amazing that you can learn that from 30 games when literally no one in the paid hockey world can.
Brb gonna go find 14% chunks of other players careers and tell everyone that's who they are

i love how he gave you a detailed reason as to why he isnt a top 4 winger. he gave you numbers/percentages and you then argued with the opposite % and didn't explain at all why you think hes a top 4 winger? this is why i don't even bother engaging you. By your definition of "top 4" Lars Eller is a 2c? no 35-40 point players are bottom 6. hes a 3 line winger...

Yeah, and its almost like pointing out that his 'detaled reasoning ' is flawed. Sample sizes are important and there is a significantly larger one saying hes a top 6 guy over a bottom 6 guy and playing with other top 6 players during that time doesnt immediately disqualifiy it.
And as far as ellers goes, he actually has had a good portion of his career where he has been a low end top 6 player. So yes, he qualified as a low end 2c
I don't think you understand just how little low end 2nd liners actually score.

I guess guys like Rob Scuderi at the end of his career and Christian Ehrhoff were also top pair Dmen at the end of their careers too..... OR maybe it's because Doughty and Keith were just THAT good that they could carry a top pair even with a handicap partner. Do you think Kempny is a top pair without Carlson??? I think Carlson makes that top pair elite. Just me though.

I'll give you even MORE details. AJ was literally the 4th most helped player in the entire NHL. The order goes Zach Kassian 1st, tied for 2nd is McDavid/Draisaitl which is obviously because they were helping each other be the most dominant line in all of hockey...Kassian just happened to be there. And then the 1st NON-Oiler is non other than AJ. NOT ONE single player outside EDM's top line received more help than AJ.
