Johnsson was the MVP for the Toronto Marlies in Calder Cup a few years ago and is probably a 2nd line left winger on the Canucks.

Yes, he plays well with Horvat. I also think Eriksson is still a good leftwinger and Virtanen could always be shifted to the left side as well so probably Canucks would not be interested in Johnsson.

I'd rather re-sign Leivo he's cheaper and we don't have to give up Stecher

...before he blew out his PCL in his knee...now he'll have to deal with less cartilage and the inflammation bone on bone causes.

Its more cap space to keep both, and stetcher won't get the time he should with tanev and myers in the way

Oh I'm all for trading Stecher but it should be for either a pick or as a package with Beagle or Roussel

No, but he's a very risky trade and not going to get anywhere near value you think right now. Medical alone will scare of plenty of teams.
