Barrie is a lot worse than Marino is right now. Barrie is also not a 1D. He's a better Justin Schultz. Throw him on your third pairing and use him on the PP.

But I know that Barrie can handle top pairing duties and top powerplay time.

Poulin vs ZAR isn't a fight at all, just send Poulin down and let him play, and Barrie just sucks.

1.) Poulin can't be sent down to the AHL due to the CHL-NHL transfer agreement.

In all seriousness, what does a Hornqvist-to-Edmonton deal look like, assuming Pittsburgh has to take *some* cap going back? Toss in Bjugstad to boot if you need to make it work.

If it means Pittsburgh doesn't have to unnecessarily trade McCann and sign TvR, Kassian and Benning are comparable players (Benning's actually better than TVR by about 2 yards) and would come in at similar pricepoints. Athanasiou could be had too, he played really well in Edmonton, but was just snakebit to all hell. My only ask is that Puljujarvi is untouchable.
