I dont see Florida doing that. The Canes on the other hand would consider it.

really like calvert but that's pretty good value for the avs. if the avs could extend andersen i'd do it and flip grubauer.

COL deal is interesting as they don’t NEED those players, but this is crazy good value for COL. They could easily flip Andersen for a 1st + (with a prearranged contract extension included). Or keep Andersen and flip one of Grubauer/Francouz.

Again, not saying these guys fit, but it’s hard to ignore when the deal is this one sided.

Not big on Dermott would prefer Liljegren instead

for sure keep andersen. he's a work horse with good numbers. grubauer can't seem to get over 30 games played.

That Carolina trade is a joke. Hamilton isn’t going to be traded for your spare parts.

not sure why you would blame andersen for toronto's failures.

Marne is a spare part. And he’s overpaid by about 3 mil. Lilly and Engvall are spare parts. The 2nd doesn’t fix the difference. It’s spare parts.

Haha because everyone else is... I personally like him, but the toronto media is blaming everyone right now and 2nd on the list under dubas... just saying hes never won a series, gruby has, and francouz looks amazing this year, why would we trade away gruby, zadorov, and calvert, for a downgrade in net and another dman we have too many of?

overpaid, maybe. I dont think we'll ever see a more than PPG player ever considered a spare part in hockey.

oh for sure. toronto media is doing a full witch hunt right now. i wonder if they'll ever figure out that they are part of the problem.

i see andersen as an upgrade. mostly in durability but also in consistency and skill. i'd have no problem with the avs swaping grubauer for andersen. i don't mind losing zadorov either. calvert is the piece that would sting. he's been excellent and really makes that 4th line work. i also wouldn't mind dermott. getting him would mean byram can wait another year. i like the idea of starting him at 20 as you get the full 7 years of rfa and he's more physically mature. also i think the avs are going to lose graves in the expansion draft so having more depth on ld helps.

Spare parts? That is a ludicrous statement.

Save some $$$ and sign Holtby to a $3-$4 million x 3 yr contract. That way you have a bit of money to re sign Hamilton.

Andersen is a good goalie, he let's alot of goals in but that's because hes on a **** defensive team...
Gruby looks solid, younger, performed in the playoffs.. probably cheaper on his next deal.. and with francouz and annuenen under team control theres no real reason to swap out tenders...
If byram doesnt make the team next year chances are he may not play, who knows if the whl will be running because of covid, dermott doesnt bring anything to the team they dont already have better, zadorov has game changing hitting ability, and in the next few days people will really see what he brings to the team.. I like him

What does Andersen want on his next deal?

AAV is important as a comparison to what Grubauer/Francouz will cost. And term is also important with regards to Annunen being in the pipeline.

Value in this trade is good for Colorado, but I'm not sure the fit is there, but that depends on what I mentioned above.

Issue is he's only a PPG player with someone who can finish like Matthews or Tavares. Put him with Jordan Staal and Warren Foegele and I wouldn't bet on him getting 50 points.

Marner is a spare part. He's overpaid and everyone wants him out of Toronto

Lilly holds no value right now because he cannot break into the worst defence in the playins.

Engvall is the definition of a spare part

A 2nd is nice, but it's not enough

J Staal drags everyone down offensively. Since he wouldn’t be on the third line this argument is beyond moot.

Staal actually has a really good xGF. He creates a lot of chances, the issue is Marner doesn't do anything. We have 10 pass first guys, 1 natural shooter in Svechnikov and whatever magical god Aho came from. We need a sniper.

Gardiner proves xGF means very little for actual production. Ya boy is sitting game one.

His PDO was down the toilet. You understand he was the most unlucky player in the NHL and still was on pace for 35 points as a D man? Taking him out of the lineup and keeping Edmundson is was the wrong decision and it's likely going to be exposed against Boston because Edmundson is a pylon.
