Marner hasn't been worth that much since Dubas handed him that contract.

If you're Columbus and just watched what Marner did in that 5 game series would you seriously make that trade? No.

Marners playoff performance, overpayment, and upcoming flat-cap will seriously hurt his value.

They on do that if you take Wennberg back and retain on Marner... he’s shown that he wasn’t worth almost 11 mil. Though even with moving Wennberg I’m not sure Columbus can afford Marner after the 2021 season.

Can any one tell me a team that’s won a cup with 4/5 forwards paid top dollar and a lot of term. Especially in a salary cap era. Still love a sparky anderson quote, give me 25 guys on there contract year and I’ll give you a championship.
