Ottawa gets the benefit of two years less on Subbans contract which will allow roster space for JBD, Thompson and maybe Drysdale if they select him to flourish... also Subban would be great for marketing and great for the community.

Leafs get rid of their scapegoat and get cap space... he definitely has more value but since the Leafs have put themselves in a bad position cap wise they aren’t dealing from a position of power
