If NSH is able to cut salary by trading one of their centers somewhere, I think they should do this. They need to get younger, and given the Forsberg and Ekholm each only have two years left, I think the value is there for them. I don't think Ekholm and Fabbro have great chemistry, and the move could help both players. I could honestly see Ekholm playing his best hockey in Toronto.

My biggest problem with this is that I love Forsberg, and would hate to subject him to having to answer dumb questions from Steve Simmons everyday.

I think the value would be there for Nashville to accept because they did not do well in the playoffs 2 years in a row and would look to make changes. I think Nashville could choose between sandin or liljergren to pair up with fabbro. I think marner is better than forsberg but his contract is almost 2 twice that of forsberg I think that should even it out. Ekholm is 30 and they are not going to win a cup with the roster they have so they would take the younger defensman and the pick.
