We are done for. You gotta move on from your favorite players when they cost too much and aren’t worth it anymore

We are done. Letang costs too much money. This gives us massive cap space we don’t have

Ridiculous irrational moves like this is exactly like what will close the Pens window for good. This would never and should never happen

And even if they did *trade* him this is nowhere near fair value. They’d need one of Dube/Mangiapane and one of Andersson/Kylington as well as a late first/early 2nd to even think about it.

I don't see the Flames giving up pieces like that for a 33 year old injury prone Dman.

I don’t see the Penguins trading him either.

This team finished ahead of teams like Columbus, Vegas, Islanders, Dallas, Vancouver, and way ahead of Calgary. Chill out.

He's also still good and plays a ton of minutes. Only trade him if you can replace him.

Finally, the offer of a third pairing guy and a 4th liner for a top pairing D man is beyond absurd.

It’s going to be interesting to see if Letang ever has to play without two generational talents in front of him. He would have been a very good offensive D in this league on his own, but there are several guys who never spent their time on the ice with forwards anywhere near 87 and 71 who are better than him even if the numbers aren’t quite equal

He's not going anywhere, and in the slight chance that he was, he'd get a far better return than that, no questions asked.
