"Carolina has an excess [of] defenders." -- The Hurricanes have exactly 2 RD's and 3 LD's (plus an RFA) under contract for next season. Plus, Pesce's value is close to Nylander's.

Andreas Johnsson's trade value is currently depressed due to his injury, even though he played in the last game. Kapanen and Kerfoot are probably better trade material.

Los Angeles isn't interested in trading for Bracco or trading away 2020 draft picks.
