I think Edmonton would move Klefbom or Nurse way before dealing Broberg

What about if you took out the 2nd and the Oilers threw in James Neal? I just want his contract gone

I think Broberg is a great prospect and Edm probably values him right behind Bouchard. I don't see Broberg = Tatar 1for1.
Considering Sergachev was traded for Drouin, I think Tatar+First rounder = Broberg = Sergachev (2018) = Drouin (2018).

Considering Nurse's contract, I think Nurse for Tatar 1for1 is pretty legitimate. Maybe throw in a 2nd or 3rd to send to Edm

Yeah I know. A man can hope that a GM is nice enough or dumb enough to take the contract.

Neals contract is just so bad. Its worth Broberg alone. Youd have to include your first for sure

But you guys need to be a playoff team as soon as next year... Broberg wont be helpful until at least 1-2 years imo
What if I do Tatar, Poehling for Broberg, Russel and a 3rd

Broberg projects to be a future #1 d-man, something Edmonton hasn't had since 2006. During the mini-camp in June it was reported that he may have already surpassed Bouchard on the depth chart... The Oilers won't be trading him. Of the highly touted d prospects they have, I think Lagesson is the most likely to be dealt, but he's not going to fit in this kind of trade.

Honestly, trading Nurse makes more sense if Holland wants to acquire a high-end offensive talent. While that leaves a huge void on Edmonton's blue line, such sacrifices can't be helped unless some other GM is tired of being employed and wants to lend Holland a huge favour before being fired. Klefbom is still a better all-around d-man than Nurse, who is the highest paid blue liner in Edmonton. The salary cap is stagnant, and Holland is already hard pressed to fill out his roster for next season. However, at this point in time losing either Nurse or Klefbom would likely decimate Edmonton's middle-of the pack defense, which would set them back despite adding a talent like Tatar. Oiler fans have many years of experience watching high-end offensive talent remain bottled up in the d zone because the team simply can't defend. For these reasons, I don't think this is the year the Oilers will be adding a player of Tatar's calibre.
