Value looks right on the Nylander trade. I think Rangers accept

He needs to ..he'd have to agree to it. He's getting beat up bad in the TO trade

Tavares signed with his childhood team, signed. a NMC, was just named the captain, and now he waves for Nashville? Never happening... And Nashville wouldn't even be able to or want to handle a ridiculous signing bonus heavy contract like that.

Poile even admitted they need a true No. 1 at center. His homecoming hasn't been what he expected. He's taking the brunt of the blame. Why wouldn't he want out? Nashville wouldn't want a ridiculous contract like that???? i give you P.K. Subban, Matt Duchene, Kyle Turris, etc.

It's paid almost exclusively in signing bonuses... None of the contracts you mentioned have anywhere near the structure that the Tavares deal does.

That's fine for a big money team like TOR that just throws out cash, but that's not something Nashville has ever really done and something that they can't really handle.

Well, guess what? Neither team's formula is working. Nashville can't win because they don't have a true No. 1 center. Toronto need real two-way defensemen and grit. Look again at those contracts.

He’s the captain and a franchise hockey player lol, he’s not going anywhere even if he wanted to waive his NMC

How did that work out for Wendell Clark? Anyone is tradable if the price is right and the circumstances. This is Austin's team. $11 Million a year for 60 points isn't franchise material. The Islanders aren't exactly loathing his departure.

Didn't Tavares have 47 goals the last full season? Not really a bust I don't think. Career high I believe.

Leafs need leadership and D, not more scoring. He's not a bust, his contract is too high for that roster.

The isles fans did tho. You see, Tavares also has a NMC clause. If the price was right I would move him, but i'm telling you, Dubas isn't even thinking it. (Also it was 60 points in 63 games with a broken thumb lol, you need more context)

Like I said, he'd have to waive it. His playoff was horrible, but KD said Marner was safe so...
