Hawks accept but you wouldn't want Maatta as your first liner. He's a good 3rd liner and okay 2nd liner.

i know it's just for the start like 10 games so ty can get some feel in the nhl then he and subban is 2nd pair, if ty don't make it to 1 pair this year butcher and severson go 1 pair and subban ty go 2 pair with määttä nad relly/carrick on 3rd pair

Agreed with @ChiHawk on Maata. This isn’t the spot for OM. The Devils top D spots might as well be left blank. No one on this roster belongs in either spot.

Also, I love the optimism on Boqvist, but I don’t think he’s ready for top-6 minutes.
