Description
We need a 1 and 2 punch down the middle and we get that we Ryan J. Cozens can be protected on the 3rd line. We got a strong first line and 2nd line center and the LOG line/4th line was great for us last year. Our defense pretty much stay the same....but Dahlin and Joker will improve this year and Risto and Miller provide size and grit along with McCabe. We improve in goal drastically!

Ryan Johansen is coming off a 36 point season,
with an $8mil cap hit
I wouldn’t even give up Mitts for him,
let alone a top10 pick in this draft

Johansen isn’t the player u think he is
He’s an overpaid underachiever, with effort & attitude issues
He’s the wrong guy to try & bring in
Especially since Cozens is most likely gonna be a good 2C long term

Also, what is the point of it. Let's say Johansen is better than we think. The favourites to make the post season are still Boston, Tampa and the Leafs.

And it is hard to get a wild card spot with the metro having 7 teams that could really make the playoffs next season.

So rather keep building, hope that Mittelstadt becomes a solid NHLer and that the guy you pick at 8 will work out. Keep building and wait till Buffalo is ready. The team has actually good pieces, but it is crazy to break the bank just to have the chance to make the playoffs

Well....we will see about the leafs.
