Broken Glass But Window Slightly Open

Created by: Newcort0
Team: 2020-21 Pittsburgh Penguins
Initial Creation Date: Aug. 17, 2020
Published: Aug. 17, 2020
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Not sure on the McCann trade...
Edmonton gets a true starting goalie for an asset that they look to be losing anyway.
Bjugstad buyout cause most ACGM comments are lame. He gets traded IRL.
Best most realistic scenario for JJ is he ends up scratched. More likely he plays more than half the regular season before being passed up on depth chart by POJ.
A few UFA signings so we can “play the right way”.
Some RFA signings for AHL depth...rest of em we let walk.
Bold prediction: Babcock is coaching this team by February.

I’d rather role the dice with McCann. Rutherford said pens are gonna get younger, not older

I saw gunnerstaal suggested the Pulj trade. I hate it

Oilers decline fairly easily. While have Kosk on payroll expect holland to go bargain shopping for back up.

Murray for Puljujarvi

Horrible trade for the Pens. Might as well trade Murray for a 7th. Yakupov v2.0 doesnt even scratch the surface.

Not a huge fan of the Pulj trade either...goalie market looks to be shaky though.

Maybe...at least they could spin Pul as an asset to someone else later. Better than a late round draft pick IMO.

Now now lets not let that get in the way of two HOF GMs making a trade. Murray has been a pretty good playoff performer. 0.921 SV% average. Not too shabby considering the dude had to deal with his Dad dying in 2018.

Wasn’t that an 11th hour Chiarelli signing? If so, I bet Holland just loves having to deal with that now.

pool boy can just stay in Europe no one is giving up anything like that for him.
We'll give you a 5th rounder, Maybe trade you Bjugstad for him.

I'll give Riikola, but just because I want Riikola to get an actual chance somewhere.

Ya was charellis final mark on the team but he hasn’t been bad. Get what you pay for 4.5m shouldn’t expect price level goaltending but been fairly solid since it’s unlikely he gets moved don’t see holland making a large investment like Murray
