Your idea is alright however Vancouver should only entertain that deal if it’s Macavoy not Carlo. Which I’m sure Boston doesn’t want to trade. Carlo is a fine defenseman but as the Taylor Hall for Adam Larsson trade taught people you shouldn’t trade young goal scorers for defensive defenceman. Boeser and Demko for Macavoy with no prospects and picks would be real interesting. Hughes and Macavoy pairing would be amazing

Mcavoy isnt going anywhere. Larrsson wasnt really a defensive defenseman. He was a high risk high reward kinda player, he had a couple rough injuries and never hit his potential.

I never said Macavoy is going anywhere, I said that’s who Vancouver should ask for if they are trading Boeser and Demko in a deal. And that Boston wouldn’t want to move him. But a defensive defenceman like Carlo doesn’t get the needle moving for Boeser let alone him and Demo in this trade proposal

On this proposal Carlo isn’t enough for Boeser and Van should ask for Macavoy especially if Demko was included. No I don’t think Boston would do that... just stating that Carlo wouldn’t be enough and that’s what an ask would be back

Ya, and by the same logic the bruins should ask for Hughes. Why not, right? Neither guy is getting moved under any circumstances. Mcavoy is the bruins best player, and even though they’re down 2 rip right now, they’re a pretty good hockey team.
