2nd Line Center

Created by: erwhite
Team: 2020-21 Buffalo Sabres
Initial Creation Date: Aug. 18, 2020
Published: Aug. 18, 2020
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Yes I highly doubt they trade Larkin but he ain't a franchise center. This also gives Detroit 2 top 10 picks plus a decent prospect in Mittelstadt and a puck mover in Montour....this would be hard to turn down. This also gives the sabres their 2nd line center they need badly on a solid contract.

That's clearly not enough for Larkin, he's their Eichel, it would need a major package for them to let him go

Its been done a million times, detroit wont trade him because hes a local boy thats pretty good at hockey. Itd start with Cozens Jokiharju and 8OA to start getting them to think about it

And they likely declines, at this point Buffalo are better keeping their precious assets than overpaying for unavailible players

He's a legit 1C, not elite but he's really good and the type of heart and soul player you win with (if there's more talent around him obviously)

I would imagine the number of awful Eichel trades Buffalo have been offered would make the reasoning behind declining the Larkin trade prettyunderstandable.

If we aren't getting eichel back you aren't getting Larkin, it's that simple
