Value is good, but sharks can't afford to have 0 RH players in the top 6...

Absolutely love this trade for the Sharks, do you think Habs will actually trade Domi?

Seems unlikely MTL would just give up on Poehling so soon, it would have to be an immediate impact player coming in return

we could give you a prospect who's already NHL ready like True or Gambrell

They could make an impact (obviously not a big one, at least not yet) and are still improving

I mean they'd probably want an NHL ready player. Poehling was a late 1st round pick who turned out better than expectations, he's still very much in the team's plans. So trading him away with Domi for another late 1st round pick (and waiting for him to grow without guarantees ) plus Labanc isn't really attractive. Unless, the team can be convinced of trading Poehling and Domi for one player -- better than Labanc...

For all the criticisms against Bergevin, he's been stubborn on his 2 years "reset" plan and has kept to the plan. MTL will be looking to seriously compete starting next season. This trade just doesn't make them more competitive right now

tbh I don’t think they will ppl are just trading him all the time on CF for some reason. He’ll stay a Hab for at least a year. I think Tatar is more likely to be dealt

Not a huge fan of this trade. We already have 2 top 6 centerman and as of now, not many top 6 wingers. Domi doesn’t fill any holes we have and getting rid of Labanc only deepens our troubles at wing. I like how cheap he is, and he’s a good player, but I dunno if he’s a fit here.

Value is solid though.

Ya I was gonna say after the surprising run the Habs just made I feel like they will want to keep him a bit longer, but man I would add a 2nd round pick to the sharks offer on this trade and still be thrilled about it
